 Identity for Addition:  A number that can be added to any second number without changing the second number.
Identity for addition is 0 (zero) since adding zero to any number will give the number itself. In other words, 0 + a = a + 0 = a.

0 + 5 = 5 + 0 = 5
1 + 0 = 0 + 1 = 1
0 + (-3) = (-3) + 0 = -3
