 Description
Ordered Pair:  A pair of numbers, (x, y), that indicate the position of a point on a Cartesian plane.

On any Cartesian plane, the intersection of the two axes, called the origin, is represented by the ordered pair (0,0).

In the figure to the left, the red point is three lines to the right of the y-axis (i.e., in the positive direction) and is one line above the x-axis (i.e., in the positive direction). So the red point is represented by the ordered pair (3,1).
