 Description  
 Plane:  One of the basic undefined terms of geometry. A plane goes on forever in all directions (in two-dimensions) and is "flat" (i.e., it has no thickness).

A plane is typically represented by a four-sided figure (see below) and can be named by a capital script letter or by three noncollinear points (points that do not lie on the same line) on the plane.

 

The figure below shows two planes, A and B, that intersect. The points they have in common form a line (line KL).
