 Power:  The exponent of a number or expression, which indicates the number of times the number or expression is used as a factor.

For example:

In the number 46, "6" is the power and tells how many times 4 is multiplied by itself.

In the expression 7x2, "2" is the power and tells how many times x (not 7!) is multiplied by itself.
