 Slope-intercept Form:  One way to write the equation of the line. Uses the form y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

 

 

 

 

 

When a linear equation is written in slope-intercept form, it is easy to find the slope and y-intercept of the line, making the graph of the linear equation easy to create. In the above example, y = 3x + 2, the slope is 3 and the y-intercept is 2.
