 Description  
 Solving an Equation:  Finding all the values of the variable(s) that make an equation true.

For example:

If you are given the equation m + 5 = 8, and you subtract 5 from both sides of the equation to find that m = 3 is the solution, then you solved the equation.

If you are given the equation 2t - 3 = 7, and you add 3 to both sides of the equation and then divide both sides of the equation by 2 to find that t = 5 is the solution, then you solved the equation.
