 Description  
 Tangent Line:  A line that intersects a graph in exactly one point; all other points of the graph lie entirely on one side of the line.

The following graphs depict tangent lines in purple. Each tangent line intersects its respective graph in exactly one point. Notice that Figures 2 and 3 show the same graph (in blue) but show two different tangent lines.
