 Description
Uniform Rate:  Movement at a constant speed.

For example, when your parents set the cruise control on their car at 55 miles per hour, the computer in the car makes sure that the car actually travels at a uniform rate of 55 miles per hour. Otherwise, if your parents were using the gas pedal to try to maintain a uniform rate of 55 miles per hour, it probably wouldn't happen. The car's speed would probably fluctuate between about 52 and 58 miles per hour, depending on the amount of pressure that your mom or dad puts on the gas pedal. Therefore, the car would not really be traveling at a constant speed.
