 Description  
 Area of a Circle:  The measurement of the region enclosed by a circle. The area of a circle is always expressed in squared units.
The area of a circle can be found using the formula Area= Pi x r2

where A is the area and r is the circle's radius.

The circle above has a 16' diameter. Half the diameter (or 8') is the radius. The calculation for the area of this circle is:

Pi x r2 = Area
3.14 x 82 = approximately 201 Square Feet
