 Inverse Properties:  Properties that state a number combined with its inverse equals the identity.

For example:

The additive inverse states: a + (-a) = 0.

An example is 5 + (-5) = 0.

The multiplicative inverse states: a x 1/a = 1.

An example is 7 x 1/7 = 1.
