 Description
Associative Property of Addition:  The sum of a set of numbers is the same no matter how the numbers are grouped.
Associative property of addition can be summarized algebraically as (a + b) + c = a + (b + c).

Examples:

(3 + 5) + 2 = 8 + 2 = 10, and 3 + (5 + 2) = 3 + 7 = 10, so (3 + 5) + 2 = 3 + (5 + 2).

(-8 + 7) + 5 = -1 + 5 = 4, and -8 + (7 + 5) = -8 + 12 = 4, so (-8 + 7) + 5 = -8 + (7 + 5).
