Algebraically, commutative property of multiplication can be written as ab = ba.

Examples:

8 x 6 = 48 and 6 x 8 = 48; therefore, 8 x 6 = 6 x 8.

5 x (-10) = -50 and (-10) x 5 = -50; therefore, 5 x (-10) = (-10) x 5.
