Distance: The amount of space between two points or things. Distance is always a nonnegative number. 
If you know the coordinates of the 2 points, you can find the
distance between the points by using the distance formula. Let's say the
coordinates of the two points P and Q are (a, b) and (c, d).
Then the distance formula is:
