Equally Likely Outcomes:
Two or more possible outcomes of a given situation that have the same probability.
There are six numbers on a die. When you roll a die, there are six different outcomes. Each outcome is equally likely, since all numbers have the same chance of being rolled. For example, there is a one in six chance that you will roll a 5. What is the chance you will roll a 2? That's right, one in six or 1/6. Each number has a 1/6 chance of being rolled. Since each number has the same probability of being rolled, the outcomes are equally likely.
