If you are doubling the recipe for cookies that requires 3/4 cup of flour, you will need a total of 6/4 cups. Measuring cups usually have a "1/4 cup" which means that you would need 6 of those. You could also simplify 6/4 to get 3/2 where you will need 3 of the "1/2 cup" for the recipe.
