One strategy to place a business is near the circumcenter of a triangle formed by connecting the three most populated areas of town. Placing a store or office in this location would make travel distance the same from each of the three most populated areas of town.

A plot of land needed for a train station that must be built to serve three different parts of a city could be located by using the circumcenter. If this is done, then the travel time to each of the stations should be nearly the same, assuming that each of the trains move at the same speed.
