 Coefficient:  A number multiplied by a variable in an algebraic expression.

Coefficients are used to describe rates when quantities of a product are purchased or sold. For example, if videos are $15 each, then the cost, c, of v videos would be c = 15v. The price per video, in this case, is a coefficient of the number of videos sold.
