Volume is sometimes reported in cubic units. For example, a soda can contains 355 milliliters, or cubic centimeters, of liquid.

In hospitals, doctors may refer to gas or liquid remedies in quantities of cc's, which refer to cubic centimeters. Also, lung capacity is measured in cc's because it describes the volume of air that can be stored inside your lungs.
