The Interactive Mathematics Dictionary is a dictionary for middle school students, teachers, parents, and anyone else interested in learning more about mathematical topics in the middle school curriculum.
The "Definitions"
Terms are grouped into the following categories:
Angle, Average, Circles, Constructions, Coordinate Plane, Exponents, Expressions, Factors, Fractions & Decimals, Numbers, Polygons, Polygons2, Probability, Statistics, Properties, Sequences, Similarity, Solids, Transformations, Triangle, Triangle2, and Miscellaneous.
Each term, with its definition, is highlighted in yellow. The left side navigation provides information on the term.
Navigating the Dictionary
Items in the left side navigation include:
Description  Provides the term, definition and examples of the term.
Related Terms  Provides related terms to term that was selected.
Everyday Examples Provides a model or picture of how or where the term is used in every day life.
Interactive Checkpoints  Interactive problems related to the term.
More Information  Provides links to explorations and historical information on related Internet sites.
Challenge  Provides a link to the InterMath web site challenge that corresponds with the term.
