Intersecting Lines:  Two lines that cross each other. Lines intersect at one point unless the lines fall directly on top of each other (in which case they are essentially the same line and are sometimes called coincidental).
Line: One of the basic undefined terms of geometry. A line has no thickness but its length goes on forever in two directions. Collinear: Points are collinear if they lie on the same straight line. Parallel Lines: Two lines are parallel if they lie in the same plane and they do not intersect. Perpendicular Lines: Two lines are perpendicular if they intersect at a right angle. Point of Intersection: The point at which two or more lines intersect (cross). Rise: The vertical distance between two points on a line. Run: The horizontal distance between two points on a line. Slope: The "steepness" of a line. Slope-intercept Form: One way to write the equation of the line. Uses the form y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Graph of a Linear Equation: The graph of all solutions of a linear equation, resulting in a straight line.
