 x-intercept:  The value on the x-axis where a graph crosses the x-axis.
x-axis: The horizontal number line on the Cartesian coordinate plane.
Graph of a Linear Equation: The graph of all solutions of a linear equation, resulting in a straight line.
Graph of a Function: The set of all the points on a coordinate plane whose coordinates makes the rule of function true.
Curve: A set of points that form or can be joined by a continuous line on a graph (See Figures A and B below).
y-intercept: The value on the y-axis where a graph crosses the y-axis.
