Morning Session

A. Participants engage in the 3-D Object Investigations

Participants should choose investigations that involve:

  • Classifying 3-D objects according to their characteristics
  • Solving problems about the volume and surface area of 3-D objects
  • Graphically representing 3-D objects
  1. Choose from investigations focused on Cubes, Rectangular Solids, and Pyramids
  2. Choose from Investigations focused on Cylinders, Spheres, and Cones

B. Participants focus on investigations focusing on Coordinate Geometry

Participants should choose investigations that involve:

  • Determining whether lines are Parallel or Perpendicular
  • Finding the length and midpoint of line segments
  • Finding the distance between two points

C. Participants focus on investigations focusing on Transformational Geometry

Participants should choose investigations that involve:

  • Mapping rules, dilations, distortions, isometrics, symmetry, and tessellation

D. Journal

Afternoon Session

A. Participants add write-ups to their online portfolios
B. Each participant creates a technology-enhanced mathematical investigation for their own classroom
C. Participants add middle school lesson plan to their online portfolios
