*TITLE:

IS THE INSCRIBED AND 1/2 THE CENTRAL ANGLE.

 

 

*Annotation

THE TEACHER WILL USE THE OVERHEAD PROJECTOR TO EXPALIN THE OBJECTIVE. THE TEACHER WILL DRAW A CIRCLE, THE CENTRAL ANGLE AND THE INSCRIBED ANGLE THE TEACHER WILL MEASURE THE ANGLES. THE TEACHER AND STUDENTS WILL DISCUSS THE OBJECTIVE INCLUDING DEFINITIONS. THE STUDENTS WILL THEN CONSTRUCT A CIRCLE WITH A CENTRAL ANGLE AS WELL AS AN INSCRIBED ANGLE, AND THEN MEASURE. THEN, THE STUDENTS WILL ANSWER THE ABOVE QUESTION.

 

*Primary Learning Outcome:

BEFORE THE LESSON ABOVE, THE STUDENT WILL KNOW HOW TO DRAW AND MEASURE ANGLES.

 

 

*Total Duration:

50 MINUTES

 

*Materials and Equipment:

PAPER, PENCIL, OVERHEAD PROJECTOR, PROTRACTOR

 

Technology Connection:

THE TEACHER WILL USE GEOSKETCHPAD ON THE COMPUTER TO HELP THE STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE OBJECTIVE.

 

Procedures:

Step One:

1.     THE TEACHER WILL MODEL THE OBJECTIVE USING THE LCD PROJECTOR TO THE STUDENTS.

  1. THE STUDENTS WILL TAKE NOTES, THEN CONSTRUCT THEIR OWN FIGURE.
  2. CONSTRUCT A CIRCLE. CONSRUCT THE CENTRAL ANGLE, AND THE INSCRIBED ANGLE.
  3. MEASURE THE ANGLES
  4. WRITE THE CONCLUSION.
