2. THE STUDENTS WILL TAKE NOTES. THEY WILL THEN DRAW THEIR OWN FIGURE ON PAPER, AND MEASURE THE ANGLES WITH A PROTRACTOR. AFTERWARDS, THEY WILL LIST THE CONGRUENT ANGLES AND TELL THE REASON WHY. TO FURTHER UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS, EITHER AS REMEDIATION OR ENRICHMENT, WE ARE GOING TO DRAW THE FIGURE USING GEOMETRY SKETCH PAD, MEASURE THE ANGLES, THEN DISCUSS.
BEFORE DOING THE ABOVE ACTIVITY, THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE DONE A LESSON OVER DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANGLES- SUPPLEMENTARY,COMPLIMENTARY, ADJACENT, RIGHT, OBTUSE, AND ACUTE ANGLES .
THE STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN EITHER A PAPER PENCIL ASSESSMENT OR I WILL ASSESS THE GEOSKETCHPAD ACTIVITY.

USE GEOSKETCH TO HELP UNDERSTAND PARALLEL LINES CUT BY A TRANSVERSAL.
1. CONSTRUCT A LINE. LABEL.
2. CONSTRUCT A POINT ABOVE THE LINE ABOVE, LABEL.
3. SELECT THE POINT AND THE LINE. THEN CONSTRUCT A LINE PARALLEL TO SELECTED LINE. LABEL.
4. CONSTRUCT THE TRANSVERSAL(LINE THAT BISECTS BOTH LINES.
5. MEASURE EACH ANGLE.
The students will explain their work on the computer to the teacher. The teacher will ask questions to check for understanding. The teacher will create a rubric to assess the students work on the computer and explanation.
The students will be asked to create lines that are not parallel, measure the angles , then discuss their findings.
The teacher will have other students that have a really good understanding of the material will be paired up with other students who did not understand and will reteach the lesson.
Instead of teaching the concepts using the overhead projector, the teacher could use GeoSketch initially to teach the students that may need accommodations.
For the students that have an IEP or may be an ESOL student, the teacher will pair those students with other students, and allow them to work with someone individually or as a group. Also, the teacher may work with those students in a small group.
