A. Operations on Sets of Numbers, Identity Elements, and Inverse Operations

Participants should discuss topics:

  • Developing the concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of real numbers
  • Identifying the commutative, associative, distributive, and closure properties and the identity elements for the four operations
  • Exploring the concept of inverse and division by zero
