A. Variable and Expressions

Participants should choose investigations that involve:

- Identifying subsets of numbers and their relationship to each other;
- Understanding special properties of zero; and/or
- Recognizing and use properties of number
- Using order of operations
- Completing operations on and with integers

- Participants explore some of the following Investigations focused on variable and expression

- Subsets of Numbers
- Special Properties of Zero
- Properties of Numbers

- Formulaic Properties (Cummutative, Associative)
- Using Roots to Generate an Equation (Distributive)

- Foil Frenzy (Distributive)
- Order of Operations
- Integers
B. Participants add write-ups to their online portfolios

C. Allow participants time to work on variable and expression investigation, spreadsheet skills, and/or other topic covered in class
